Honeywell RCWL251A1005/N Decor Wireless Door Chime and Push Button Review

I purchased this product after having an electrician come to my house and charge me per hour to try to fix my existing doorbell. After finding out he needed to run new wires and it would take him up to 5 hours I decided to go wireless. I looked at Lowes and Home Depot; but, I was very unhappy with the appearance of their stock so I looked on Amazon. This doorbell is easy to install and looks good. The only two things I would change: One would be to make the sound more clear (its just ok). The other would be for them to provide a more esthetic looking door button. I had to order another one that had stainless steal finish and it set me back another bucks. The plastic one it comes with looks cheap.

Decent Chime, Average Construction/Aesthetics - C. Michael - Cincinnati, OH
This chime has nice features, and looks ok from the front at a distance, but has a relatively unsightly grey base that isn't hidden much at all by the cover. The sound is average. There were more finished looking chimes at my local home center that you can see and hear, which is where I would recommend shopping.

Great Price Honeywell RCW100N1000/N for $16.67

Honeywell RCW100N1000/N Wired Door Chime Review

I used this to replace a 50-year old chime. It integrated perfectly into the current setup. Did not have to replace the transformer (which is installed somewhere in the wall, I didn't even see it)

I gave it a 4 because it is a basic door chime. Simple "Ding Dong"....nothing spectacular.

If you are looking for a simple replacement, this is a good way to go. I like that it has the battery option if the transformer is shot...(and you don't want to dig through the wall to find it).

I would buy it again...

Easy to install, works great - Fitzpatrick Insurance Solution - Austin
This is a great replacement door bell. It works off battery or wired in. The battery feature is great because my previous door bell's transformer was broken.

door chime meltdown - johndeereloder -
Had the door bell chime in my office for notice that we had visitors or deliveries etc. It lasted about two weeks. We smelled smoke and noticed that the door bell had ceased working. The plunger mech had melted!!! I know it is an inexpensive item, but it is cheaply made, and I fear a hazard!!

Batteries died pretty quickly - Andrew J - Washington, DC United States
This chime works both wired or wireless. If you use the wireless approach with batteries, watch out because the batteries get used up within a few weeks.

You get what you pay for - Matthew A. Weible - Fort Collins, CO
The button housing is bulky and cheap looking. I will keep it for now, but intend on changing it soon for something made of metal. It does make the doorbell ring and also is very bright.

Honeywell RPWL301A1006/A Decor Wireless Surface Mount Push Button Review

This Honeywell unit lives up to Honeywell's reputation for sturdiness, durability and appearance. Very Good

I bought the chine and button unit and one extra button unit. One of the button units has a black body and also a black push button which makes it a little hard to see where to push.Button units are rain proof and that sold me on this setup.

Luxury Ringbell - Mobby -
It is nice you may connect up to six mount push buttons which means you can have six doors attended by a single device. Sound is OK and I did not have problems with signal range. The system has been working for over three months and so far the battery is up and running.

Honeywell Wireless Push Button - Bill A. Belt - Dallas, Texas
I needed this wireless push button to go with my wireless doorbell. Did not want to string wire from a wired system that was not working all that well. I purchased one Honeywell Wireless system and added a second door bell button. Works great.Looks nice on the door too.
